Business Background of SSI

Supply-Chain Service, Inc. (SSI) was established under the parent company, System Service International, by requests from our recycling service customers. In the beginning, we took on special projects, such as "trade-ins" by providing reverse logistics, documentation and ultimately recycling services. As other customers became aware of our skills and attention to details, we were asked to perform other reverse supply chain functions. Today we offer a full range of services and our customers can pick and choose these services as their need arises, or completely outsource their reverse supply chain tasks to SSI.

From the first day of its inception in mid-90's, the two partners of SSI (one with a Ph.D. Degree in Material Sciences from the University of Illinois, other with a MBA Degree from Northwestern University) set a clear mission for the company: to provide a Single Source Supply Chain Solution. The clear founding vision has laid a foundation and infrastructure for the growth of the company. The breadth of its services, the depth of its analytical reports, the state-of-the-art information systems and the revenue maximizing capability has attracted many corporate customers. SSI's impressive customer list grew quickly. We have been told over and over again that our focus on customer service, attention to detail and flexibility has made us the ideal partner to manage their complex physical asset needs.
